Angie's Boom Chicka Pop Sea Salt Popcorn Is A Well-Made, But Underwhelming, Snack.

The Good: Exceptionally good ingredients, Good corporate philosophy, No unpopped kernels!
The Bad: Comparatively expensive,Comparatively short shelf life, Bland flavor
The Basics: Angie's Boom Chicka Pop Sea Salt Popcorn is all right for its production and corporate ethics, but disappointing as a snack.

One of the things I love about the food box delivery service my wife occasionally subscribes to for me is that I get to try foods that I would not ordinarily try. The last box she bought me included bags of Angie's Boom Chicka Pop Sea Salt Popcorn. I had seen Angie's Boom Chicka Pop Popcorn at my local discount store recently, but had not tried any before now. Sea Salt seemed like a fine flavor to me, despite the fact that I tend to love more flavorful products than simply "salt" flavored popcorn.

Unfortunately, while I was thrilled to be able to try Angie's Boom Chicka Pop Sea Salt Popcorn, it was not a particularly interesting snack food.

Basics

Boom Chicka Pop Sea Salt Popcorn from Angie's, is pre-popped and flavored popcorn. Angie's has marketed their popcorn an upscale snack food and the quality of the ingredients seems to support that. The Boom Chicka Pop Sea Salt Popcorn from Angie's comes in a .6 oz. bag. Inside the bag, the popcorn is exactly what one might expect of popcorn. It is popped, light and fluffy and lightly salted.

Ease Of Preparation

Angie's Boom Chicka Pop Sea Salt Popcorn is simple to enjoy; all one needs to do is open the bag and remove the popcorn from it! There is no trick to eating the Boom Chicka Pop Sea Salt Popcorn; this is a snack that is ready to go from the bag to the mouth.

Taste

Angie's Boom Chicka Pop Sea Salt Popcorn smells light and grainy. The aroma is very faint and does not smell like salt or oil; the fresh scent of popcorn is the dominant aroma from this popcorn.

The flavor of the Angie's Boom Chicka Pop Sea Salt Popcorn is mostly that of popcorn. The taste of cold popcorn is accented by a surprisingly light salt flavor. For a sea salt flavor, the Angie's Boom Chicka Pop Sea Salt Popcorn is very mild. There is actually nothing particularly intriguing in the flavor palate of the Angie's Boom Chicka Pop Sea Salt Popcorn.

The Boom Chicka Pop Sea Salt Popcorn does not have an aftertaste.

Nutrition

The Boom Chicka Pop Sea Salt Popcorn is a basic popcorn produced with minimal preservatives. Given that the entire ingredients list is popcorn, sunflower oil and sea salt, it is easy to pick up Angie's Boom Chicka Pop Sea Salt Popcorn and feel good about what one is consuming!

Each 17 gram (.6 ounce) serving of Angie's Boom Chicka Pop Sea Salt Popcorn has 80 calories, forty of which come from fat. There are 2 grams each of dietary fiber and protein. While there are 4.5 grams of fat and a whopping 80 mg of sodium, which represents only 3% of one's RDA of sodium, there is really nothing bad in this popcorn. Angie's Boom Chicka Pop Sea Salt Popcorn has 2% of one's RDA of Vitamin A, Calcium and Iron, but no other significant nutrients.

That said, Boom Chicka Pop Sea Salt Popcorn is Vegan-compliant, Kosher, Gluten-free and non-GMO verified for the ingredients.

Storage/Clean-up

Kept in the bag, Angie's Boom Chicka Pop Sea Salt Popcorn will remain fresh for a short amount of time. Our bag, which arrived yesterday, had a March 6, 2018 expiration date, though we ate it up pretty fast! Because of the comparatively short shelf life of the Angie's Boom Chicka Pop Sea Salt Popcorn, which speaks to the natural quality of the ingredients, it is not a good snack to stock up on.

Cleanup is fairly simple. The Boom Chicka Pop Sea Salt Popcorn from Angie's is a dry food and thus leaves little mess behind. Unlike heavily buttered popcorn, this Angie's product does not leave any noticeable residue on one's hands. Once one is done consuming the Boom Chicka Pop Sea Salt Popcorn, wash your hands, throw out the bag and cleanup is done!

Overall

Angie's Boom Chicka Pop Sea Salt Popcorn is made entirely of great ingredients, but it lacks a flavor or affordability that would make it an essential snack.
