The Basics: Friskies Gravy Swirlers Chicken And Salmon flavor cat food has quickly become a beloved cat food for all three of my cats!
Every now and then, I encounter a cat food that my cats actually prefer to eat as if it was a cat treat. Under those circumstances, I tend to look for a cat food that is crunchy so it aids in cleaning my cats' teeth. When I sat down to review Friskies Gravy Swirlers Chicken & Salmon cat food, the only thing more surprising to me than the fact that Timber, Elim and Evie all enjoy this cat food as if it were a treat, was the fact that up until now, I had not reviewed any Friskies hard cat foods. Friskies Gravy Swirlers Chicken & Salmon cat food has quickly become one of my little trio's favorite cat foods.
Basics
Friskies Gravy Swirlers Chicken And Salmon flavor cat food are crunchy little food that come in a 3.5 pound bag and bring all three of our cats running when the bag is shaken. The Gravy Swirlers includes three different piece types that range in size from 5/16” wide and 5/8" long (for the fish-shaped pieces) to 3/8” in diameter for the gravy pieces. All are approximately 3/16” thick. There is a medium-sized chicken leg-shaped piece in this food. Opening the Friskies Gravy Swirlers bag, there is a fairly strong scent akin to that of brown gravy. There is nothing fishy in the bouquet of this cat food.
Ease Of Preparation
The Friskies Gravy Swirlers food is a ready-to-eat cat food, so preparation is as easy as opening the bag and measuring out the food. I never have to mix in treats with this when Evie, Timber and Elim eat it, as they gobble it up like it was a treat. All three of my cats will protectively consume this food.
Evie, Elim And Timber’s Reaction
Friskies Gravy Swirlers Chicken And Salmon flavor food are consistently and eagerly eaten up by all three of our cats. None of our cats rejected the Friskies Gravy Swirlers Chicken And Salmon flavored cat food, no matter how many days in a row they were fed this food. This is one food that all three of our cats eagerly devour each and every time they are given it.
Nutrition
The package recommends 1/2 - 3/4 cups of food per day for Evie and Elim, 3/4 - a cup of food for our beautifully fat cat Timber. All three of our cats will gladly eat the full serving of this each day.
The Friskies Gravy Swirlers Chicken And Salmon flavor food is healthy-enough, though it is not the most healthy or the cat food with the best ingredients that we have given our little trio. With a minimum of 30% crude protein and 12% crude fat, but no more than 3% crude fiber and 12% moisture, this food has decent nutritional benefits for our two growing cats and our senior, Timber. These food are made primarily of ground yellow corn, corn gluten meal, and chicken by-product meal, this is not the best cat food by the ingredients! Despite that, each piece is big enough and hard enough that cats are forced to chew them, which helps them to keep their teeth clean and breath (comparatively) fresh.
Overview
The Friskies Gravy Swirlers Chicken And Salmon flavor cat food is quite good and, despite the ingredients not being the most spectacular, all three of my cats are ecstatic to be fed it.
