The Good: Tastes good!
The Bad: Expensive, Not nearly as healthy as other premium bottled juice products, Not as sweet as other tangerine juices I’ve tried.
The Basics: Noble 100% Pure Tangerine Juice is healthy enough, but not extraordinary in any way.
With my usual love of getting juices discounted, today I find myself having the last of my Noble 100% Pure Tangerine Juice bottles I got in this week. It seems like the real difference between cartons of juices and bottled juice drinks is that juice bottles do not use juice from concentrate. Eager to try Tangerine Juice, I gladly picked up the Noble 100% Pure bottles when my local grocery store had them for 2/$3. When a few of them actually had discount coupons as well, it became a “must try” for me!
My first Noble 100% Pure juice drink was Tangerine Juice and it was all right, but not in any way superlative.
Noble 100% Pure is a juice drink brand. This is a fruit juice that is more pure than pumped full of nutrients. Noble 100% Pure Tangerine Juice comes in a 12 fl. oz. plastic bottle that is rectilinear, smooth and very portable. The #7 recyclable bottle is filled with the opaque orange liquid. Noble 100% Pure juice products is a comparatively new, trendy brand and the Tangerine Juice is my first experience with the brand. Right off the bat, it felt pretty expensive at about $2/bottle!
The 12 fl. oz. bottle gives consumers a full serving.
Ease Of Preparation
Noble 100% Pure Tangerine Juice is a liquid in the 12 fl. oz. bottle and is a ready-to-drink beverage. So, preparation is as easy as opening a plastic bottle. Tangerine Juice has a plastic cap that easily twists off and can be put back on in order to reseal it. It is important to note that this is supposed to be refrigerated, so quality of the beverage will degrade if it is left out at room temperature before or after the bottle is open. This has a pretty standard security seal ring around the lower half of the cap and informs the consumer as to whether the product has been opened by cracking off when the top is twisted.
In the bottle, the Noble 100% Pure Tangerine Juice smells like sweet oranges. It actually smells a lot like Mandarin oranges. The light, yummy orange scent is instantly inviting.
As for the flavor, the Tangerine Juice is fruity with a slight tangy quality at the end of the primary flavor. The sweet orange flavor tastes a little less sweet than usual orange juice. Oddly, because usually tangerine juice is a bit sweeter than most normal orange juices, the Noble 100% Pure Tangerine Juice is a slight bit more sour than other tangerine juices I have tried. What this lacks is any hint of the watery taste that many beverages from concentrate have. This is juicy through and through.
This drink does not leave an aftertaste.
As a fruit juice, Noble 100% Pure Tangerine Juice is designed to quench thirst in a nutritious way. Nutritionally, Noble 100% Pure Tangerine Juice is a fair option for those who are dieting or are trying to improve their health. Tangerine Juice is composed entirely of Florida tangerine juice. It contains nothing bad, which might be why it expires so quickly. It is Vegan compliant, gluten-free, soy-free, and certified organic!
One serving of Tangerine Juice has 188 calories and no fat. There are 45 grams of carbohydrates and a gram of protein! There is no sodium in each serving. Outside the 660mg Potassium, the only nutrients this drink has are 150% RDA of Calcium, 6% Folate, and 30% Vitamin A.
Noble 100% Pure Tangerine Juice comes in a plastic bottle and it keeps for only a few weeks. The bottle I bought at the beginning of August had an expiration date of August 22, 2012. Because it includes no preservatives, this beverage must be refrigerated!
This drink is a fruit product and an opaque orange. If this gets on clothes, it will absolutely stain them, especially light clothes. Consult a care guide for your clothes, though I suspect light clothes would need bleach to get this out. Still, the drink wipes off surfaces easily with a cloth, assuming they are impermeable.
Noble 100% Pure Tangerine Juice might not be the most nutritious drink and it might not be the most distinctive flavor, but it is good.
