I’m Not Sure What Qualifies Rachel Ray To Make Pet Food, But Myah Is Neutral-At-Best To Nutrish Just 6 Lamb Meal & Brown Rice Recipe Adult Dog Food.

The Good: Very nutritious
The Bad: Comparatively expensive, Does not seem to excite my dog at all.
The Basics: Myah is uncharacteristically neutral to Rachel Ray Nutrish Just 6 Lamb Meal & Brown Rice Recipe adult dog food, which suggests to me that while it might be nutritious, it is not all that tasty.

As I sit down to write about Rachel Ray Nutrish Just 6 Lamb Meal & Brown Rice Recipe adult dog food, I find myself thinking about Krusty The Clown on The Simpsons. Krusty is a heavily-merchandised character in the world of The Simpsons and much of his merchandising has absolutely nothing to do with the show he performs on. Rachel Ray was a huge success a few years ago and in the eagerness to exploit her ten minute meals, she became a merchandising phenomenon. Apparently, though, she’ll throw her name on just about anything because now she has a whole pet food line. That led me to ask, what does Rachel Ray mean to me as a pet owner?! Why would I care about the name Rachel Ray, who helps make dinner fast or on a budget when it comes to choosing a pet product?! My answer is, I don’t.

Even so, when my wife picked up some Rachel Ray Nutrish Just 6 Lamb Meal & Brown Rice Recipe adult dog food, I tried not to bring any prejudice to the experience for Myah, our four year-old Siberian Husky. I’ve fed Myah the food twice; once as part of an array of snacks and once in the morning after she came in from outside when she expected a yummy snack. Unfortunately for Rachel Ray Nutrish Just 6 Lamb Meal & Brown Rice Recipe dog food, the results were not favorable. When given the choice, Myah rejected the Rachel Ray Nutrish Just 6 Lamb Meal & Brown Rice Recipe dog food. If she had other snacks prior, the Rachel Ray Nutrish Just 6 Lamb Meal & Brown Rice Recipe dog food was apparently just enough to consider stopping eating (and this is a fifty pound purebred who will eat a whole ham, given the choice!). After a long night’s sleep and her morning ablutions, Myah ate the Rachel Ray Nutrish Just 6 Lamb Meal & Brown Rice Recipe dog food. But, she ate it slowly and I noticed she immediately went for a drink and then ate some of her regular dog food. If I did not know better, I would suspect that Rachel Ray Nutrish Just 6 Lamb Meal & Brown Rice Recipe dog food left a bad taste in Myah’s mouth that she wanted to get rid of!

Rachel Ray Nutrish Just 6 Lamb Meal & Brown Rice Recipe dog food is a tough sell for me. The fourteen pound bag costs as much as the crunchy dog food Myah likes that I can add boiling water to to make gravy. That said, to give credit where credit is due, Rachel Ray Nutrish Just 6 Lamb Meal & Brown Rice Recipe dog food does not smell bad. It smells slightly meaty and very salty, but does not have any unpleasant odor and does not make Myah’s breath smell bad at all. In fact, the crunchy pellets help to remove plaque and tartar from her teeth.

A single serving of Rachel Ray Nutrish Just 6 Lamb Meal & Brown Rice Recipe dog food is six ounces, so a fourteen pound bag does not last as long as I would want for the expense. Each piece of Rachel Ray Nutrish Just 6 Lamb Meal & Brown Rice Recipe dog food is a brown/black pellet 1/2” long by 1/4” wide and in diameter. This makes them very much bite sized and smaller dogs can probably handle it as well as Myah does. Myah eats several of the pellets at once when she deigns to eat it at all.

Also to the credit of Rachel Ray, Rachel Ray Nutrish Just 6 Lamb Meal & Brown Rice Recipe dog food does appear to be very nutritious. Made primarilt of lamb meat, brown rice and ground rice, the ingredients are about half natural before becoming a chemistry equation I can only assume has to do with preserving the food and keeping it formed. According to the guaranteed analysis, Rachel Ray Nutrish Just 6 Lamb Meal & Brown Rice Recipe dog food has at least 20% crude protein, 13% crude fat, 1.5% Linoleic Acid, 1.1% Calcium and .9% Zinc, but no more than 7% crude fiber and 11% moisture. As a dry dog food, it is highly recommended that you have adequate water available for your dog when serving it Rachel Ray Nutrish Just 6 Lamb Meal & Brown Rice Recipe dog food.

Of course, given Myah’s indifference, I cannot justify the expense of Rachel Ray Nutrish Just 6 Lamb Meal & Brown Rice Recipe dog food and despite how nutritious it is, I cannot recommend it, either.
