The Good: Nice scent, Good moisturizing quality, Scent endures
The Bad: Expensive, Not anti-bacterial
The Basics: Bath And Body Works Cashmere Glow Body Lotion moisturizes well and leaves skin smelling fresh, clean, and like brown sugar
As my wife recovers from oral surgery, I have had the pleasure of massaging her feet. Keeping her calm after having her wisdom tooth extracted has been an important part of her convalescence and the truth is, I’m not terribly good at it. But, I can improve my standing by giving her foot rubs! Fortunately for us, right before she had her tooth extracted, she picked up some Bath & Body Works Cashmere Glow Body Lotion.
Cashmere Glow is sold in a 2 fl. oz. container by Bath and Body Works as part of their Signature Collection line and it is a Body Lotion. Body Lotion is essentially hand cream and given that it was more than almost four dollars for the 2 fl. oz. bottle (they have a bigger bottle, but my wife was going for less expensive, not knowing how much she would like the scent out of the bottle), I was happy when it was a better-than-average product on its own.
Cashmere Glow is an “adjective scent,” an aroma whose title tells you nothing about what to expect when you open the product. Cashmere Glow has a very warm scent, like a hint of cinnamon and a lingering scent much like brown sugar. It contains jojoba and shea butter and that aroma is fairly consistent with those ingredients.
Cashmere Glow is an opaque light pink/tan cream that is thick and absorbs into the skin very easily.
As a Body Lotion, a tiny dollop, like the size of a chocolate chip of Cashmere Glow can moisturize one’s hands. It took a little bit more for the Cashmere Glow to moisturize my wife’s feet, but it still required very little to give her a good foot rub and leave her skin soft and supple.
For those who are health conscious, the Cashmere Glow Body Lotion is primarily comprised of water, Glycerin, and Petrolatum. As one who is more accustomed to reviewing all natural teas, I'll say I know what water is and this product is not recommended for human consumption, so don't eat it! It does soften the skin some and the scent stays on the skin for about four hours even after working it into the skin.
At the regular price, Cashmere Glow Body Lotion in the 2 oz. bottle is a little pricier than I would like, but for the bigger bottle, it is a comparatively neutral scent that is warm and inviting and worth picking up for those who want to massage and smell good, but not like fruits, flowers, or mints!
