The Good: Conditions well, Rejuvenates hair well
The Bad: Somewhat mild and medicinal scent, EXPENSIVE.
The Basics: OGX's Strength & Body Bamboo Fiber-Full Conditioner is an expensive conditioner for one that does what it promises without an evocative or pleasant scent.
Despite being entirely unimpressed with the OGX Strength & Body Bamboo Fiber-Full Shampoo (reviewed here!), I decided to give its accompanying conditioner a fair shake. The truth is, whenever I try a new (to me) shampoo these days, I tend to buy the accompanying conditioner with it even before I try it. As a result, I've been going through a bottle of OGX Strength & Body Bamboo Fiber-Full Conditioner for the past month as I quickly emptied the OGX Strength & Body Bamboo Fiber-Full Shampoo that I bought with it. Unfortunately, the OGX Strength & Body Bamboo Fiber-Full Conditioner is not a whole lot better than the shampoo that is supposed to be paired with.
OGX is a premium hair care line that has pretty much exploded in the marketplace over the last few years. Their reputation was one of the big reasons I was eager to try the bottles of OGX Conditioner. The OGX Strength & Body Bamboo Fiber-Full Conditioner does not have a strong or recognizable scent that endures, but it generally does what it promises to do in terms of conditioning hair. The Strength & Body Bamboo Fiber-Full Conditioner conditioned well-enough to maintain my recently-repaired hair, but it is not one of the most distinctive conditioners ever.
OGX Conditioners are part of an expensive line of hair care products that tend to be found for an average price of $9.00 per 13 oz. bottle in most markets in the United States. The bottles are flat on the sides and tapered at the top, which makes them very slippery when wet. Strength & Body Bamboo Fiber-Full is an opaque very pale light green conditioner that is very thick and is applied much like a hand cream, but to the hair. The Strength & Body Bamboo Fiber-Full Conditioner comes with a flip-top cap for easy access to the Conditioner, though it is tough to dispense with one hand while in the shower.
The OGX Strength & Body Bamboo Fiber-Full Conditioner is a simple hair care product, so there is no trick to using it. Simply place a large dollop on your hand and rub it into your wet hair, away from the scalp. I have been conditioning my hair for the past year now, so it has not been overly damaged of late. As such, I cannot speak to the restorative effect of the Strength & Body Bamboo Fiber-Full Conditioner. Despite that, the OGX Strength & Body Bamboo Fiber-Full Conditioner maintains perfectly the shine and bounce of my now-stronger hair.
The Strength & Body Bamboo Fiber-Full Conditioner claims to moisturize and make hair bouncier and it does that exceptionally well. The OGX Strength & Body Bamboo Fiber-Full Conditioner actually did make my thin hair noticeably more voluminous.
The aroma from the OGX Strength & Body Bamboo Fiber-Full conditioner is not quite as strong as the scent from the accompanying shampoo. Instead, the OGX Strength & Body Bamboo Fiber-Full Conditioner has a very faint medicinal scent to it. The scent is not very good, but it is not entirely unpleasant and it does not endure in the hair very long at all.
The OGX Strength & Body Bamboo Fiber-Full Conditioner is good at maintaining clean, healthy hair and makes hair bouncier and voluminous, even if its scent is not incredible.
