The Good: All three cats truly love them, Inexpensive, Dental benefits
The Bad: Nothing!
The Basics: A perfect treat for all our cats, Friskies Party Mix Original Chicken, Liver & Turkey flavor treats delight my cats for a very reasonable price!
My wife is pretty incredible with training our cats. I have been quite surprised by how successful she has been with getting our three cats to learn new tricks. One trick in particular amuses me quite a bit; my wife can bring out a treat, call the cats, tell them "butts on the floor" and all three will sit with their butts on the floor and wait without competing for her to dispense treats. This is particularly impressive to me because our orange cat, Elim, is particularly willful and Evie is barely more than a kitten. Because she has been so successful at teaching all three cats the trick, we are able to very clearly see what treats intrigue each cat by how each one responds to the same treats. So, when I write that Friskies Party Mix Original Chicken, Liver & Turkey flavor treats are universally beloved, it is because all three of our cats consistently responded to them over and over again.
This might be one of the best, inexpensive, cat treats we've yet found!
Basics
Friskies Party Mix Original Chicken, Liver & Turkey flavor cat treats are crunchy little treats that come in a 6 oz. bag and bring all three of our cats running when the bag is shaken. The Party mix Original includes four different piece types that range in size from 5/16” wide and 1/2" long (for the crunch twists) to 1/2” square for the star bites. All are approximately 3/16” thick. The other two shapes are little fish and little window-shaped treats. Opening the Friskies Party Mix bag, which is resealable, there is a generally meaty aroma; surprisingly, they smell most like liver.
Ease Of Preparation
The Friskies Party Mix treats are a treat, so preparation is as easy as opening the resealable bag and removing a few of treats. I, occasionally, mix a few of the treats in with Evie, Timber and Elim’s food, but otherwise, they get five to ten of these whenever my wife or I gets them to perform the sitting trick! Intriguingly, all three of the cats will consume their own piles of these treats without trying to steal them from one another, which is a rare thing for them (Elim, especially, likes to steal treats from his siblings).
Evie, Elim And Timber’s Reaction
Friskies Party Mix Original Chicken, Liver & Turkey flavor treats are consistently and eagerly eaten up by all three of our cats. None of our cats rejected the Friskies Party Mix Original Chicken, Liver & Turkey flavored cat treats, no matter how mant days in a row they were fed them. This is one treat that all three of our cats eagerly devour each and every time they are given them.
Nutrition
The package recommends two treats per pound of cat, but not more than ten per day. All three of our cats will gladly eat ten of these treats each day, if given the opportunity.
The Friskies Party Mix Original Chicken, Liver & Turkey flavor treats seem fairly healthy. With a minimum of 30% crude protein and 15% crude fat, but no more than 4% crude fiber and 8% moisture, these treats have decent nutritional benefits for our two growing cats and our senior, Timber. These treats are made primarily of chicken by-product meal, brewers rice, and animal fat with preservatives! They are just big enough and hard enough that cats are forced to chew them, which helps them to keep their teeth clean and breath (comparatively) fresh.
Overview
The Friskies Party Mix Original Chicken, Liver & Turkey flavor cat treats are perfect because for a very inexpensive price, they engage three out of three cats in my household and help to keep their teeth clean.
