Not Significantly Whitening, Listerine Whitening Vibrant White Clean Mint Mouthwash Still Works!

The Good: Works to kill virtually anything in one's mouth, Tastes weirdly fruity
The Bad: Does not whiten excessively, Chalky aftertaste
The Basics: Listerine Whitening Vibrant White Clean Mint mouthwash works to freshen breath, fight tooth decay, but does not whiten noticeably with one bottle.

With winter here, and no practical health care for myself or my family, I continue to find ways to keep healthy. In the case of oral care and fighting basic infections, my wife and I look for inexpensive solutions to keeping healthy. When we saw the Listerine Whitening Vibrant White mouthwash on clearance at a local store, it was too good for us to pass up. So, we’ve been using it for a month to keep healthy. And it works!

Listerine Whitening Vibrant White Clean Mint is a liquid that comes in Clean Mint flavor and is designed to help prevent cavities, restore enamel to teeth, strengthen teeth, kill bad breath germs, freshen breath, and fight plaque and tartar above the gumline. The 16 fl. oz. bottle is opaque white with a silver label. We found ours on clearance for $2.25 and at that price, even with it not living up on the whitening front, it is well worth picking up.

Listerine Whitening Vibrant White Clean Mint is a lilac liquid that comes in an opaque white plastic bottle. The 16 fl. oz. bottle is enough for about twenty-five uses. The black cap is tamper and child-resistant as it has a plastic seal and the cap itself must be squeezed on both sides to be twisted open. This prevents children - who have less gripping ability - from getting into the bottle and drinking this liquid as if it were a beverage. The Listerine Whitening Vibrant White Clean Mint Fresh Mint is a watery liquid with no leg that is designed to be swished in the consumer's mouth, gargled at the back of their throat and then spat out.

To use, simply twist open the cap, fill it with the solution and then tip the cap into your mouth. Almost instantly, the user will feel the Listerine Whitening Vibrant White Clean Mint working. On the tongue, Listerine Whitening Vibrant White Clean Mint will tingle and prolonged contact will cause a sensation most akin to burning (or being stabbed with about a thousand tiny pins) and on sensitive areas of the gums, inner cheek and throat there is a similarly painful or uncomfortable feeling. Once the solution is in your mouth, close your mouth and swish the product around. This spreads it to all affected areas within one's mouth and makes the best use of the killing power and restorative qualities of Listerine Whitening Vibrant White Clean Mint. The packaging recommends swishing around the solution for a minute and then spitting it out, but I've found the ideal usage is in swishing it around for a minute, then gargling it at the back of the throat - tip your head back, let the solution fall to the back of the throat, then exhale to agitate - to get the most bang for your buck out of it. Gargling it kills the germs in the upper throat and lower nose as well as simply taking out the germs in the mouth. The result is a longer-lasting fresh breath experience. The Clean Mint Listerine has a vaguely fruity flavor to it, which is odd. It is actually not an unpleasant flavor, but it is not truly all that minty.

Spitting the rinse solution out leaves the mouth feeling clean, but very dry. This has a very chalky aftertaste to it that does not leave the mouth feeling very fresh. It is important to not swallow this rinse as it includes so many chemicals designed to kill germs that it may cause sickness or extreme discomfort if swallowed in any quantity.

What does Whitening Vibrant White Clean Mint do? It effectively kills any germs in the mouth and many in the throat. Immediately it freshens breath. This effectively kills germs and the Listerine Whitening Vibrant White Clean Mint prevented me from getting any infections where my split molar was recently removed!

Moreover, the user's breath is left smelling good. "Clean Mint" is a poor name for this type of Listerine Whitening Vibrant White because it is so fruity and then so chalky. It is not minty at all.

As well, the claim that Listerine Whitening Vibrant White Clean Mint eliminates plaque above the gumline is a good one; layered plaque or other build-up from food or make-up may easily be removed by the combination of the product and the agitation within one's mouth when swishing it around. This does have the effect of making teeth look cleaner and keeping the mouth feeling fresh.

As for the claims of whitening teeth, splitting a bottle of Listerine Whitening Vibrant White Clean Mint between two people for a couple of weeks did not yield real whitening results. That said, since starting to use the Vibrant White, none of my teeth have shown the inclination to become cavities. Given that there have been no other changes in my diet or oral care regimen, I attribute the greater defense of my teeth to Listerine Whitening Vibrant White Clean Mint. Having teeth that seem stronger lends one a level of confidence that fracturing teeth and bad breath quickly robs one of. Fortunately, Listerine Whitening Vibrant White Clean Mint's Fresh Mint formula does an excellent job of leaving one feeling more confident because it works!

The Listerine Whitening Vibrant White Clean Mint is good for those who cannot stand the more potent and toxic feeling/tasting flavors of Listerine. This feels mild, but does all the work of regular Listerine. Perhaps in the long run it even whitens, but not with only one bottle.
