The Good: Appears to work, Easy to apply, Wonderful scent!
The Bad: Price/size
The Basics: Lemon Meringue Cheer Anti-bacterial Hand Gel smells great and endures well for killing bacteria!
Each new season, Bath & Body Works introduces new scents to its line-up to keep competitive and keep consumers eager to try new products there. My wife and I shopped early at Bath & Body Works and while the reviews will be filtering out the next few weeks, I wanted to start at the top. The scent to beat this winter is the Lemon Meringue Cheer Anti-Bacterial Hand Gel! Some people might forget about germs in the winter, but not us! And what better to fight those germs with than something that smells amazing, endures well on the skin and is a delight to use? The Bath & Body Works Lemon Meringue Cheer Anti-Bacterial Hand Gel certainly fits the bill for all that!
For those who are unfamiliar with the recent trend in personal hygiene, Anti-Bacterial Hand Gels are like liquid soap. You drop a few drops of a gel onto your hands, then rub your hands together and the gel evaporates, killing bacteria on your hands. Also, it has the tendency to clean off mild amounts of dirt. It's a convenient way to clean your hands and keep them sterile while on the run or around a lot of sick people. Or when you're not around water or when you're trying to interact with people you don't want to get sick, which is why a lot of hospitals are using these now.
Honestly, anti-bacterial hand gels are genius. They are wonderful when out at the mall and one sees how people treat their bodies, especially in the winter, they are likely to want to use them excessively. I could come up with literally a thousand places and times I've used anti-bacterial hand gels. Anti-bacterial hand gels are essentially biological weapons against bacteria that are convenient, easy to use and basically make living in a first world country a real treat.
Lemon Meringue Cheer scented anti-bacterial hand gel from Bath & Body Works smells exactly like a freshly-prepared lemon meringue pie. This gel smells peppy, citrusy and delightful; as the season turns to cold, this is a delightfully warming and energizing scent. This 1 oz. PocketBac plastic bottle holds a fluid that smells the same in the bottle and on the hands, which is a wonderful (and surprisingly uncommon) thing. It is a clean scent and one that smells just like an edible product. When on the hands, this anti-bacterial hand gel smells just like it does in the bottle and it is a delightful sweet and fruity scent.
Lemon Meringue Cheer anti-bacterial hand gel comes in a pocketbac bottle for $1.75, $.99 on sale. The fluid is translucent yellow color with dark blue microbeads in it. The microbeads do not seem to do anything.
The bottle is a rhombus shape that fits in the hand rather easily. The flip-top lid makes it easy to open and close the bottle with one hand. This is especially convenient because if you believe you need to sterilize your hands, odds are you will not want to touch many things until you've done. The ability to manipulate the bottle with one hand while getting the product out is a good selling point.
The bottle recommends a dime-sized drop to sterilize one's hands. That seemed to work for me and when applying this gel.
Lemon Meringue Cheer anti-bacterial hand gel does not dry out the skin and it leaves the hands smelling fruity for about an hour after use. This makes the Lemon Meringue Cheer gel one that can energize and thrill anyone who has a good scent-memory. It’s also the best of the new season at Bath & Body Works, so it’s easy to recommend for the buy!
