The Good: Good taste, Affordable, Generally natural ingredients.
The Bad: Not the most potent flavor for the expense.
The Basics: Enjoyable, but not overly intense, Ghirardelli Sublime White Cookies Jubilee chocolate bars are still worth trying for those who like lighter, more subtle chocolates!
For our last anniversary, my wife and I exchanged our usual gifts. It was a minor anniversary – despite our telling one another that we would stop, we still celebrate each month – so, I gave her a Buffy The Vampire Slayer graphic novel and she picked me up a Ghirardelli Sublime White Cookies Jubilee chocolate bar (and some popcorn supplies!).
Basics
Ghirardelli Sublime White Cookies Jubilee chocolate bars are one and a half inch squares of chocolate that are about one-quarter of an inch thick and connected side by side and in rows, to form a bar of eight segments. Each bar comes unified in a foil wrapper. The foil-wrapped chocolate bar is sealed in a cardboard package.
Each chocolate bar is sold in a way that it is easy to segment and control portions. In this form, the 3.17 oz. bar, the chocolate bar represents two servings. Each bar has a milk chocolate base with a white chocolate top and cookie pieces evident on the top side. Each bar is stamped with the Ghirardelli logo.
Ease Of Preparation
These are candy, so preparing them is as simple as opening the cardboard and then opening the foil wrapper from around the actual chocolate. There is no grand secret to eating Ghirardelli Sublime White Cookies Jubilee chocolate bars.
Taste
The Ghirardelli Sublime White Cookies Jubilee smells like S’Mores! This chocolate bar smells like marshmallows and light milk chocolate and it is very inviting.
On the tongue, this chocolate is light and tastes like cookies dipped in sweet cream and chocolate. Sublime White Cookies Jubilee is creamy and the cookie flavor dissipates quickly, adding more of a texture than a flavor to these candy bars.
This chocolate bar is very sweet and actually has no real aftertaste to it!
Nutrition
These are candy, so they are not healthy, but the Ghirardelli Sublime White Cookies Jubilee chocolate bars are not nearly as bad as they could be. The primary ingredients are sugar, cocoa butter, and whole milk powder. There is nothing unpronounable in these candies and everything in these could be readily identified by me.
A serving from the Ghirardelli Sublime White Cookies Jubilee chocolate bars is considered four squares. From four squares, one takes in 250 calories, including 150 grams of fat. There are 50 mg of sodium and 2 grams protein, but no vitamins in these chocolate bars.
These are not Vegan-compliant, nor are they recommended for anyone with a nut allergy as they are produced on the same equipment that tree nuts pass over. They are, however, kosher.
Storage/Clean-up
The bars of these Ghirardelli Sublime White Cookies Jubilee chocolate bars remain fresh for quite some time. The bar my wife got me for our last anniversary would have lasted until the end of March, 2013, had I not consumed it first! One assumes that if they are kept in a cool, dry environment they will not melt or go bad. It is hard to imagine just what it would take for these to go bad outside melting and refreezing.
As for cleanup, I applaud those who actually throw the wrappers away in socially appropriate places, as opposed to litter. Outside that, there is no real cleanup needed, unless one is eating them in a hot environment. In that case, it is likely one would need to wash their hands, though these squares do not easily melt. When these chocolate squares melt into most fabrics, they will stain.
Overall
Ghirardelli Sublime White Cookies Jubilee chocolate squares are flavorful for those who like a blend of milk and white chocolate and well worth picking up!
