The Good: Very healthy, Tastes good, Actually yummy
The Bad: Could be a little more affordable, Well, they are crispy as opposed to soft . . .
The Basics: WhoNu? Nutrition Rich Cookies Crispy cookies are an incredible option for people who like crispy chocolate chip cookies, as opposed to soft chocolate chip cookies.

It’s weird; ever since I started working on getting healthier, I have been eating more cookies. Yeah, that seems pretty backwards to me, too. And yet, with my wife’s discovery of the WhoNu? line of cookies, I have been able to enjoy cookies a lot more lately than I ever thought I would! Finishing off my reviews of their product lines, I have now picked up the Crispy chocolate chip cookies from WhoNu? And they are pretty incredible.

WhoNu? Nutrition Rich Cookies Crispy chocolate chip cookies are trying to compete with every firm chocolate chip cookie in the world! For the first time in a long time, I managed to get excited about a crispy chocolate chip cookie! At $4.99 for only twenty-eight cookies, I want to complain about the price, but they are just too good. These are certainly worth the price. As well, because WhoNu? cookies are still relatively new, it is still easy to find coupons for them!

Basics

WhoNu? is a new company that is creating healthy alternatives to traditional cookies. By replicating the look and feel of favorites like chocolate chip cookies and Oreo-style sandwich cookies, WhoNu? is starting to make it easy to replace old favorites with new, healthy options. The WhoNu? Nutrition Rich Cookies Crispy cookies are the replacements for chocolate chip and they are wonderful and well worth trading for any other firm chocolate chip cookies on the market!

Each 11 gram WhoNu? Nutrition Rich Cookie is a single round cookie approximately 2 1/8” in diameter by 3/8” thick. Crispy Nutrition Rich Cookies come in a 12.4 oz. box with a plastic tray that houses twenty-eight cookies. The box and tray do a decent job of preventing breakage, at least until one begins to eat many or most of these cookies. A serving of WhoNu? Crispy Nutrition Rich sandwich cookies is three cookies.

Ease Of Preparation

Eating WhoNu? Nutrition Rich Cookies Crispy cookies is not a real challenge, but getting to the cookies is. WhoNu? wisely created a bag within the box of cookies that is resealable. That resealable pouch surrounds the thin plastic tray that houses the cookies. The seam for the releasable opening is not at the top or side of the tray, though, it is at the middle. This makes it slightly more awkward to get the cookies out of the package. This might be a subtle way to enforce portion control.

When you have a cookie out, all you have to do is stick it in your mouth and chew; there is nothing complicated or foreign about eating these cookies.

Taste

Opening the resealable inner wrap around the WhoNu? Crispy cookies reveals one of the most delicious scents from a cookie package that I have ever smelled. I realized this was because it was evoking positive memories of store-bought chocolate chip cookies (like Chips Ahoy!) from my childhood. These cookies have about three times the baked cookie and chocolate aroma that traditional cookies have. They smelled mostly like chocolate, which is delightful.

WhoNu? Nutrition Rich Crispy Cookies are appropriately firm and packed with chocolate chips. The cookie portion is dry, but not overly salty and this allows the chocolate flavor to truly rise to the surface. The WhoNu? Crispy chocolate chip cookies have more chocolate chips than I ever recall a standard store-bought chocolate chip cookie having. These truly live up to their name as they crack apart in the mouth!

Nutrition

WhoNu? Nutrition Rich Cookies Crispy cookies are intended as a sweet snack, not a full meal. Three of these 11 gram cookies represent a single serving and they have a boatload of nutrients in them. Made primarily of wheat flour, semi-sweet chocolate chips and soybean oil, the ingredient list includes a separate list of minerals and vitamins, implying they are sprayed on to boost the nutritional value of this product. This is not an all-natural food product and these cookies were produced on equipment that forces them to add a disclaimer about milk, soy, and wheat.

WhoNu? Nutrition Rich Cookies's Crispy cookies have 160 calories for a three cookie serving, 60 of which are from fat. A full serving represents 13% of one's RDA of saturated fat, though they are cholesterol free. As well, they are fairly low in sodium for a cookie, having only 45 mg per serving. They also have two grams of protein and ten percent of thirteen different vitamins and minerals! As one who is working on getting heart-healthy, I appreciate the 3 grams of dietary fiber per serving. There is also 20 – 30% of the RDA of Vitamins A, C, D, E, and B12, Calcium, and Iron. These are healthier than most fruit juices on the market!

Storage/Cleanup

WhoNu? Nutrition Rich Cookies Crispy cookies are easy to care for and clean up. Unopened, they have a pretty short shelf life; I purchased a box on the second day of June (2012) and they have an expiration date of October 28, 2012. Kept sealed, I am sure they would have lasted at least that long. As cookies, one need only not shake the box excessively to care for them and wipe away any crumbs after eating them. This is a low-stress food!

Overall

WhoNu? Nutrition Rich Cookies Crispy cookies are fast becoming my solid chocolate chip cookie of choice!
